As a Product Owner (PO) of our Google Cloud team, you will be responsible to manage the backlog of the team. The Google Cloud team is responsible to set-up and maintain shared cloud infrastructure, applications, and tooling within the IT organization of mateco. As PO you will define what the team will be working on by creating the tasks in Jira and define the priorities of those tasks based on input you get from the different stakeholders (software development teams, management, security team, the cloud engineers in the Google Cloud Team...). You will be the single point of contact for this team, and will be handling the short- and longterm planning.
You capture feedback/input from stakeholders (dev teams, other product owners, security-team...) to capture their requirements/needs regarding Google Cloud infrastructure
You translate these requirements to backlog items for the Google Cloud team
You define the priorities of these backlog items based on the high-level company priorities
You prepare and lead the refinement & planning meetings
You collaborate with the product owners of the software development-teams (eg: you attend the weekly PO-sync)
You take initiative to improve the cloud infrastructure & tools and suggest improvements
You actively contribute to the work of the team as one of the cloud engineers
You will provide clear guidelines, directives, and documentation on cloud infrastructure and cloud-native development taking into account security, maintainability, usability, and budget.
You will actively support and coach software delivery teams to become Cloud Native DevOps teams that know how to leverage the possibilities of the cloud and autonomously run the software they build.
You will stay on top of new technological evolutions and innovations in order to be and remain the expert in cloud infrastructure-related topics.
You are proactive and reach out to people to get things done
You have at least 4 years of experience with GCP
You have a very good understanding of software development and CI/CD.
You want to combine your technical skills with the responsibilities of a Product Owner

You are fluent in English and Dutch
