As Lead Data Platforms & Master Data, you will take ownership of mateco’s data foundations. You will ensure that our master data, data migration initiatives, and analytics platforms remain reliable, scalable, and future-proof. Combining technical expertise with leadership, you will work closely with business stakeholders, ERP teams, and data specialists across the organization.
As Lead Data Platforms & Master Data, you will:
Define and drive the strategy and governance of master data within an international environment.
Take ownership of critical data domains, including business partners, equipment, pricing, depots, and financial structures.
Lead data migration initiatives related to acquisitions, ERP transformations, and system consolidations.
Establish guidelines for data quality, data ownership, historization, and validation.
Support and oversee the continued development of our enterprise data platform.
Ensure the quality of data ingestion from ERP systems, operational applications, and other data sources.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, PMO, architects, and ERP teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
Coach and support a team of data engineers, data analysts, and other data professionals.
Act as the bridge between business, IT, and management for all data-related topics.
You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
At least 8 years of experience in data management, data engineering, data governance, or master data management.
Experience with complex data migration projects in ERP environments or international organizations.
Strong knowledge of master data management and data governance principles.
Experience with data warehousing concepts such as Raw, Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
Excellent SQL skills and a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
Experience with modern data platforms and cloud technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, DBT, or similar solutions.
Experience leading data teams and mentoring technical specialists.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align different interests and priorities.
An analytical mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
